Probably the most comprehensive list of dog care and breed FAQs you might find. The first is a list of FAQs usually posted to rec.pets.dogs, the second a list of information websites also posted there. You'll find more practical care stuff in the first list, more breed specific sites in the second.

Denver Dumb Friends League

If you're planning on getting a new pet, consider adopting a homeless animal. These are often great pets, and definately need love and care. If you're in the Denver area, the Denver Dumb Friends League is a great place to go to find a pet.

Ferret Central

Maintained by Pam Korda of rec.arts.sf.written.robert-jordan, this FAQ contains all of the little details about the Wheel of Time series, plus a good portion of the speculations about what means what, who killed whom, and who's on what side about the characters of the books. Recommended reading for anyone interested in the series. Pretty much required reading if you plan to participate in the newsgroup any time soon.
